BBAC’s Definition of Compliance

In BBAC, we consider compliance as, under guidance of corporate core values, abiding to all relevant laws applicable to the business model, rules and voluntary self-obligations as well as any related internal policies and processes for all activities by BBAC and its employees.

Integrity and Compliance

Integrity is one of BBAC’s core values, and is also the highest ethical standard of the company. It includes three aspects: fairness, openness and compliance.

Compliance, as the core of integrity, emphasizes the binding force of laws and regulations, processes and policies as well as business ethics. It is the most basic rules of conduct for BBAC and its employees.

Compliance Organization

The Compliance Office is set under the Corporate Audit & Compliance Department of BBAC. It is directly managed by the President & CEO. The Compliance Office is focused on regularizing all business conducts of the company, improving and implementing the compliance management program of the company.

Compliance Program

BBAC establishes and improves its compliance program through the concrete measures including compliance training and communication, compliance risk assessment and on-going monitoring, compliance policies and processes development, compliance whistle-blowing investigation, employee screening and so forth.

In addition, as an important part of BBAC’s compliance program, we perform compliance due diligence on our business partners to identify and assess risks in our cooperation with business partners.

BBAC considers acting with integrity and complying with the rules to be the essential requirements for a trusting and enduringly successful cooperation.

Compliance Key Aspects

Avoiding and fighting against corruption is a top priority for BBAC, however, compliance is certainly not limited to anti-corruption measures. In fact, compliance requires responsible conduct from every individual, in harmony with all significant laws, voluntary commitments and our internal policies.

BBAC implements mandatory compliance trainings for all employees to avoid compliance risks, and makes timely mitigations as well as on-going monitoring measures for identified risks in its daily operation. In addition, BBAC includes compliance requirements into the KPI assessment system for the management and ordinary staff.

BBAC Whistle-blowing System

Compliance with legal requirements and internal regulations is a top priority for BBAC.

BBAC sets up a compliance whistle-blowing system to receive whistle-blowing cases from internal employees and business partners and conducts investigations in a fair and appropriate way.

In dealings with reported cases, BBAC ensures that the reporter’s personal information is protected.
