On April 29, 2016, the celebration of “May 1” International Labor Day and Commendation Conference of “National May 1 Labor Medal” was grandly held at the Great Hall of the People. Mr. Li Jianguo, member of Central Politburo of the Communist Party of China and Chairman of All-China Federation of Trade Unions attended the conference and delivered a speech. On the meeting, All-China Federation of Trade Unions granted the honorable title of “National May 1 Labor Medal” to BBAC. Mr. Xing Dongjun, Vice Secretary of Communist Party Committee, Secretary of Commission for Discipline Inspection and Chairman of Trade Union, attended the conference and accepted the award on behalf of BBAC.

“National May 1 Labor Medal” and “National May 1 Labor Award” are honorable titles granted by All-China Federation of Trade Unions to outstanding workers, enterprises, public institutions and organs in the construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics, which are one of the highest prizes of Chinese working class. Since 1985 so far, this award evaluation has created an atmosphere in honor of labor and creation of greatness and strengthened the value orientation of “a powerful manufacturing country needs refined craftsmanship and the era needs refined craftsmanship”. This year, All-China Federation of Trade Unions strictly implemented related evaluation policy and requirements based on the principles of openness, fairness and justice. Finally, 192 outstanding groups won the National May 1 Labor Award. BBAC was short-listed and won the honor by its outstanding performance in promoting stable and healthy economic development and upgrading automobile industry.
