The offline ceremony of the 500,000thMercedes-Benz Vehicle made by BBAC was held at MRA-I assembly on November 28thafternoon to celebrate this important milestone of BBAC development history. The President and CEO, Mr. Frank Deiss, the Party Secretary and Senior Executive Vice President, Mr. Chen Hongliang, the Executive Vice President, Ms. Mu Wen and Mr. Rene Reif and about 100 employees attended the ceremony, witnessing this encouraging moment. Mr. Reif mastered the ceremony. Mr. Chen Hongliang delivered the speech first, expressing the appreciation to the shareholders for their investment and support and gratitude to all the staff for their contribution. He defined the moment as the start of thenew journey. Next year, GLA-Class will be offline and NGCC plant and MRA-II plant will be applied. Mr. Chen hoped BBAC team advanceforward to the target of becoming"the internationalizedbenchmarking manufacturer in the Chinese premium market"through enhancing efficiency, optimizing methods and tightening the team cooperation. Mr. Frank Deiss shared the BBAC development in the past 9 years. He stressed that BBAC will become the “biggest”Mercedes-Benz company, in terms of not only the area, but also the production and efficiency. He hoped that the1,000,000thMercedes-Benz vehicle made by BBAC could be offline soonest with the highest quality. The awaited 500,000thvehicle, a white C 260L was driven to the ceremony and the leaders signed on the engine cover. The management took the group photo with this unique C-Class, which would be a historical record for the past and a new start for the future.
