Mayor Wang conveys Beijing Great Wall Friendship Award to President Deiss

April 2, 2014, the Mayor of Beijing Municipal Government Mr. Wang Anshun presented the Beijing 2011-2013 Great Wall Friendship Award to President Deiss, who was not only received by the Mayor as one of the VIP award winners, but also invited to deliver an acceptance speech on behalf of all the winners later. In his speech, President Deiss first of all extended gratitude to the Beijing Municipal Government for the consistent support to the operation and development of BBAC. Mr. Deiss also committed during his speech that he would help invite more foreign experts to China, making bigger contribution to the economic and social development of Beijing, the Capital city. Mayor Wang also addressed at the ceremony. First of all, he expressed his thankfulness to each and every expert present, for their contribution to the communication, information exchange and cooperation between Beijing and the world, at their areas. Mayor Wang: ”BBAC is building the scientific and innovation center at full speed, and thus needs to attract more talents. We hope that you see Beijing as your second hometown, keep caring for and supporting its development, and help the city to show the best of its local enterprises and the Chinese culture to the world. ”Being the most valued award to the foreign experts working at Beijing set up by Beijing Municipal Government, the Great Wall Friendship award was founded in 1999, and was appraised every year, and adjusted to every three years in 2011. The award to Mr. Frank Deiss is undoubtedly an affirmation to he himself, as an expat of Daimler working at and for BBAC. Moreover, it is also an affirmation of the remarkable performance of BBAC. |
